A Study of Correlation between Metacognitive Strategy, Self-Efficacy and Arabic Achievements of University Level Students in Malaysian Public Universities

This study investigated the correlation of metacognitive strategies, self-efficacy and academic performance university-level Arabic learners. A total 317 university level learners from Year 1 to 4 participated in this study. The quantitative research approach was utilised by using Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) Self-Regulated Online (SOL-Q) as instrument SPSS analysis data indicated a high skills self-efficacy. Metacognitive correlated with each other significantly predicted performance. Subsequent also yielded significant difference strategies beliefs among 1, 2, 3, implications results language learning educational practice are discussed.
